For the last several years I’ve run up run up a flight of stairs in an old house to visit the local yarn shop owned by my dear friend Marty. I had toyed for years with buying the shop when Marty was ready to retire, but I have a large family and a tendency to be afraid to actually do things. Enter another dear friend Gretchen who graciously welcomed me aboard when she expressed an interest in buying the shop. Our partnership was born and here we are- new owners of our beloved yarn shop, known formally as Ben and Flo’s and today as Wren & Purl.

We are still working on the website, but we are open, and offer a variety of yarn for knitting and crochet, along with a supply of wonderful embroidery floss and supplies from Presencia. Fridays from 4-6 is our weekly happy hour where you can come ask questions about projects, or just hang out with us for awhile. Yarn Shop Talk remains on Saturday mornings, and we are planning a host of other activities and classes as we move toward the fall. Follow us on instagram and facebook for more information.
